Week 23

Scripture: Colossians 3: 23 and Acts 9: 1-22

Objective: Today we talk about Responsibility. Today we read about a man whose life changed because he learned about responsibly. His name was Saul. He hurt a lot of people. But when he learned how much God loved him and how much God needed him to be responsible he changed his life. How is God counting on you to be responsible? Who is helping you?

Week 22

Scripture: Ephesians 4: 32 and Luke 5: 17-26

Objective: Today we talk about Kindness. We read about a hero that might not seem like a hero. He could not walk. But his friends loved him and were kind to him. They brought him to Jesus and he was healed. His friends showed kindness by working hard to get him to Jesus and Jesus showed kindness by healing this man! How are you showing kindness to others?

Week 21

Scripture: Proverbs 19: 17 and John 6: 1-15

Objective: Today we look at Generosity. Jesus was generous with the resources he had. He fed other people and helped them. We can be generous with what God has given us as well. How can you be generous with your time, money and love?

Week 20

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4: 9 and Judges 6: 12-16, 7: 1-24

Objective: Today we look at Cooperation. Things were not going well in Gideon’s life. He did not think he was strong or smart and that nothing good could happen in his life. God changed that by calling him to be a leader of an army. Because Gideon listened to God and worked with other people he was able to win the battle God was calling him too.

Week 19

Scripture: Psalm 51: 10 and Daniel 6: 1-22

Objective: Today we look at Honesty. We talk about how it is important to be honest. It can be easy to tell a lie, but God wants us to be truthful with one another. Daniel was honest in his love of God, even when he was facing a den of lions. But because he was honest God saved him.

Week 18

Scripture: Romans 12: 12 and Genesis 6-9:17

Objective: Today we look at Patience. We talk about how we all have patience but sometimes it is hard to show patience to one another. But with the help of God we can all have patience because in God all things are possible. Noah had patience when he was in the ark. That is a great example!

Week 17

Scripture: Philippians 4: 13 and Esther 1-9

Objective: Today we look at Courage. We talk about how we can all overcome our fear and stand up for what is right. There are times in our life when doing the right thing might be scary. But we learn from Esther that with God all things are possible. Esther was brave and she stood up to the king. She showed courage and because of that she helped a lot of people.

Week 16

Scripture:  1 Peter 2: 17a and Ruth Chapters 1-4

Objective:  Today we look at Respect. We talk about the importance of treating others like you want to be treated. We look at the story of Ruth and Naomi. They both were widows. Eventually Ruth married Boaz but Ruth still treasured her relationship with Naomi so she continued to help and show respect to Naomi.

Week 15

Scripture: Philippians 4: 6 and Genesis 37: 1-28 and 39-41

Objective: Today we are talking about Perseverance. We will look at the Bible story of Joseph. Perseverance means to keep working on something even it if is hard and to never give up. What does it mean to never give us? How is God with you through all things? When bad things happen to us it is easy to give up. But God is with us, watching over us and supporting us throughout our entire lives.

Objective: Today we are talking about Friendship.  We will look at the Bible story of David and Jonathan and see how to be a good friend.  I want you to think about your friends and what makes them a good friend.  Now think about how you treat your friends.  What makes you a good friend?
